Life goes on.. Attended a couple of Christmas parties and such....nothing big.....havent done anything.....tried to buy presents.........

Not a fun trip

Okay....let me cover the weekend activities in ffxi first.
got a santa hat +1... got blm to 17 with warp.....did supply quest for yhoatar jungle

now on to the topic

Went to Pat Sun's B-day party at his Aunt and Uncles house. Had lots of fun. Ate lots of great food..... On the way back home though, my mom's car lost it's breaks after a couple of really hairraising intersections (i did put it into 1st gear not that it mattered) i managed to get the car stopped at the movie theater in Sandy Springs. Stopped the car. Turned it back on. about 4 intersections latter i got brakes back....it was very weird....felt bad for Linda cuz i know she was scared. At least neither of us panic. I just got very pissed. Drove the car to work this morning no probs........more details if they come about.

It's back

The SP is back. We did about 5k in exp (mostly because of a bad puller in a rng did nice damage). Nice to be back.

Before hand i was in the dunes ----bleak----- 400 exp----2hrs of wasted time.

Shintroy needs to die

Okay, in the ongoing saga that is/was my SP. It appears that hiro is nolonger making a push to 60. This has made ed happy (me too). Still I'm leary of it. Also, I promised to do the prom missions with Edalya and Moon.

Anyway. I decieded to level blm ( i did the intro to prom and no1 on the ls was on). Went to the dunes. got to 16, party starts breaking up. Then the crazy guy (well he was acting crazy in the first part) starts remaking the party. Good ol'shitroy (no i didn't miss the n) joins. Moon comes buy to give us a PL (very nice of her) and we start. Shitroy keeps pulling IT+++++ pugs when the group (3 blms and 1 whm) are always at half mp. There's a couple of deaths but for the most part we're getting good exp. Moon leaves (she was sleepy don't blame her). We tell the bastard hey our PL is gone don't pull something hard. He pulls an IT ++ pug, the crazy one (now realizing we can't take these pugs) starts screaming use 2hr. Not that it matters. Every1 dies until it's just me and shitroy. I cast fire. He uses a warp scroll. Pug kills me, he's safe in jeuno. Leader ask why he pulled what he did, and shit says oh i wanted to leave the pt.

Never again will i pt with this guy.

A Dead SP

Hiro killed the SP last nite. He wanted to get to 60 by saturday. I think Ed is leaving town and he wanted to get there before she left. However, she was not keen on the idea and so he said he would pt without us. So no more static. I was hoping to get to 60 my self before the static went bust, should have known better.

A weekend of horror and surprise

Ok, didn't do any leveling Friday or Saturday. Did some crafting. Did Some fishing. Completed a bunch of small quests. Had a long talk with Ed (from SP). Talked to Vanheart (he was going to Canada for 2 weeks poor guy). Ed (from LS, created a new LS) stayed on it for most of the weekend (and Forge noticed). It'll be interesting to see where this goes.

Sunday we did the pt twice. First time I leveled to 55. Had to leave for Fitz's dinner. Hiro broke up the pt and we got back later. At first, it was slow but we picked up after we decied to kill spiders and mandys. After the end of it we were getting D2 from our blm, but to my surprise Hiro said he was bloodwarping, as he had too much exp. I for one don't like when any member bloodwarps, but it made me feel like yeah i'm really part of this static.

Helping Strangers

So, I was out farming yesterday, was starting to get a bit board when some guy asked for help killing lichs for paper. So I think, oh why not......I should have thought more. Took on a lich was doing pretty good. He was down to about 1/3 of his hp and I was down to about 740 (about 2/3 of my hp), when his buddy lich comes by. But instead of attacking me directly he cast tornado (for 756). I die, get a raise and low 940 exp. Sigh. I should know better by now. oh i forgot to mention the guy ran away after i got hit for like 250.

AF Gloves

Okay went through the download process after SE maintance only took 5 freaking hours. Didn't notice much changes yet. Bought the spike earrings (64k gone). Still need a new str ring (60k) or one of the new sniper knockoffs (hopefully its an easy quest).

Anyway both hiro and ed were on. i PM'd ed to let her know i was willing to go to garliage citadel to get her and hiro keys. Turned out they had keys already. so i was pissed. Ask zguy but he lost a level so he was wanting to get back (he was only 1.5k from 72 again). So, i was sort of lost. Then out of the blue i get an invite to kill dark sparks. I jumped at the opporutinity. At first i thought oh no. 1 BST, 1 Pally, 1 SAM, and myself. The SAM was a bit lower and didn't come prepared. ie no prism powder or sneak oil. but i sold him the stuff (he refused to take it for free). The pally was level 75/blm (wanted warp i guess) nice guy named Wolfman. We got a tele and went to the bad place (tm) Castle Zvahl Keep. We went in killed some demons and big eyes. Took on Dark Spark. Warped home and got my new gloves.

Peucritond is crying

Okay, Tuesday is my trivia day so I don't play FFXI. However, i do log in to check on plants and such for maybe an hour or so. Lo behold, i see my static pld pting in b. tree and at level 55. Now I know he wanted 55 to get Holy and he died a couple of times. And will probably die more than the rest of tthe pt, so I wasn't too upset. I get back from trivia and log in and see the rdm is at 55 now as well. I send congrats to her and she replies back "how come you weren't on today" and i told her i don't play on tuesday i've said so many of time. But, it saddens me that my static went on a did exp pt when they could have been coffer hunting or leveling subs or other things.

Boyahda Tree

Went there last night. What a weird place. Sort of reminds me of a lit Crawlers nest.... I hate the fact that I don't have a map. At least going to Boyahda Tree wasn't too bad. Most things don't aggro there. Hiroku, (he's the static pld), died twice. Once because Ed (she's the static red mage) was casting convert and a water elemental came by. Lucky for us or unlucky for us, a bst was nearby and joined in when Hiro called for help. We could have escaped as we had a blm, but Hiro said we couldn't leave the bst to fight the water elem by himself, rightlyso. The second time was when we were fighting spiders and he got hit for almost 800 in damage. No one leveled, we had way too much down time.

Also, I didn't get any spiderwebs which suck cuz those are big money items.......:(

Today is trivia day hopefully Hiro won't pt tonite even though he wants 55 really really
bad.

Current status of FFXI

Okay. I have an addiction. It's FFXI (or for anyone who doesn't know Final Fantasy 11).

Yesterday, I managed to level War from 32 to 34 despite dying once, with an rdm who refused to heal (infact wants to be a melee), and not having a true tank. I did tank for a while but i was for the most part the primary puller.

side note ----- Tank - a character who's primary job is to take all the damage from the monster (mob), hopefully by maintaining hate. Hate can be made by hitting the mob with damage or through various spells or job abilities. In FFXI, the paladin is the primary tank.

Later, I was able to level my Monk job to 54. Retrieve part one of my AF for gloves. As usually with my static party, we started out by dieing as we got the place. Afterwards we didn't even come close to death. I think that leveling here is going to take a long while. Level 53 required 13k while level 54 is requiring 16k. yuck.

Okay i finished this book yesterday morning.

It was better than I expected. More history of the Land is explored. Most of the self-loathing is gone (but that's to be expected as well as Thomas Covenant is dead). The narrative is of Lindsey Avery ("The Chosen" from the second series).

I found it interstting that the Haruchai decieded that any knowledge serves Lord Foul (and therefore have wiped the Land of all Earthpower), yet they themselves remember everything. As always with Donaldson contridictions (like white gold). It was a better read then the first two series in part due to Donaldson's better writing. Give it a try.
