VT or not VT

Yesterday i read the following article on alla

basically it was why people are complaining about why it was so hard to hit stuff at high level. In a nut shell, it basically said we're going after mobs too high.

So last nite i was minding my own business, crafting away when i recieve a tell from Pops. Pops asked me if i want to pt. So I ask hiroku if we were pting and he said that he had been looking for a mage for 15 minute and it wasn't looking good. I told him i got a pt invite and he told me to go. So i did. When i got to the Lab. of Onzo. I tell Pops, I'm there....And he tells me "um I thought you were a RDM." And i'm thinking oh well i'll just go back. Instead he has his pt escape out and they invite me in. The blm was a jerk, but Pops said that we were going to Gustav Tunnel to exp on vts (the gobs and crabs there). The blm d2 everyone and then says i'm leaving. Pops gets a drk and we go to the Tunnel. At first, I'm thinking okay we're doing so so. Then we get a gob train and the last gob drops a big bomb killing almost every1. We get raise2 and i look at my exp total (only 1k at the time) and i'm thinking well i won't be pting here again. The pt make up was me, smn (pops), drk, drg, pld, thf. After a litttle while the thief leaves, Pops gets an rdm. And we start cooking. And it was fun. We're crusing along and i notice that i'm gaining a ton of exp on these vt mobs. I tell hiroku about it and he's surprised about it. The drg had to leave and i'm now thinking damn and it was going so good. He gets us a replacement, a blm. And i thought we were crusing before. We were clearing out the tunnel so fast that we had downtime. A couple of pts came in and we decieded to move to the bones area. I'm happy it's bones. It gets freaky a couple of times but we manage without too much problems. In the end I got about 12k in exp. A very good nite. So much so that I want to go back............
